The 2nd Annual 19th hOle, held on October 21, 2010, lived up to its reputation as Vancouver’s most fun fundraiser ! 350 guests had a ball participating in 13 golf and spa activities including: massage, acupuncture, putting, chipping, wine tasting, fitness assessment, jewelry shopping, yoga, a fashion show and more.

$96,000 (net) was raised to provide access to arts, culture, sports and recreation for underprivileged kids across Greater Vancouver. The fabulous Fred Lee deserves special recognition for his role as the hilarious auctioneer and for making it loads of fun for the guests to support Kids Up Front.

A Round of Applause

The following letter was received from Surrey Safe Schools, Surrey School District, in thanks for tickets to a Canada vs China Basketball game at Rogers Centre:

Organizations like yours cannot be thanked enough. The type of experience you are able to provide students is very powerful. An opportunity for these kids to escape, even for a night, from a home life that is most often filled with turmoil and negativity can be life changing. Giving these kids an opportunity to smile and a chance to dream about maybe one day playing for a team Canada, or a team China, is one of the most positive experiences we can provide. For that, myself, and the entire staff at Surrey Safe Schools are tremendously grateful for all of the hard work you do and we look forward to your organization's continued support.

Regards,
Cassidy Conkin
